The Overview

A celebrity-backed clothing brand with a massive social following partnered with BuildX Media to launch their paid media presence from scratch. The celebrity’s influence, spanning millions of followers, brought strong organic brand awareness to the table. BuildX Media’s role was to convert that awareness into real, measurable revenue through a performance-driven paid media strategy. Within just one week 11th to 17th November 2025 the brand generated ₹7,33,947.55 in total sales, fulfilling 119 orders with a gross revenue of ₹7,20,031.47.

Challenge

Even with a celebrity behind the brand, translating social following into actual purchases is not automatic. Fans and followers don’t always convert to buyers, especially for a brand new D2C store with no purchase history, no pixel data, and no retargeting audiences built up. The challenge was to bridge the gap between the celebrity’s organic reach and paid performance, structuring campaigns that could capitalise on the brand’s awareness while driving profitable conversions from cold audiences at scale.

Our Solution

BuildX Media designed a rapid-launch Meta Ads strategy that leveraged the celebrity’s brand equity as a creative and trust asset. Multiple campaigns were deployed simultaneously across varied audience segments to accelerate pixel learning and identify top-performing targeting combinations early. The celebrity’s existing follower base was used to build lookalike audiences, giving the algorithm a strong head start that a typical new brand wouldn’t have. Budget was kept controlled across daily-capped ad sets to minimise risk while gathering data. As purchase signals came in, budgets were shifted toward best-performing sets, with some ad sets delivering ROAS as high as 25.43X and 14.26X. The average purchase ROAS across all campaigns settled at 5.45X on a total spend of ₹1,07,475.30, driving 111 website purchases at an average order value of ₹5,273.22 and a Cost per Purchase of ₹968.25.

Results

In the first full week of going live, the brand recorded ₹7,33,947.55 in total Shopify revenue across 119 fulfilled orders. Gross sales stood at ₹7,20,031.47, with Meta Ads driving 111 direct website purchases. The combination of celebrity brand equity and BuildX Media’s structured launch strategy delivered a blended ROAS of 5.45X on a lean ad spend proving that when organic influence meets the right paid media execution, results can be explosive from day one.
